Travel by train to the breathtaking citadel of Machu Picchu, nestled high in the cloud forest and celebrated as one of the world’s most awe-inspiring archaeological sites. In Cusco, walk the storied streets of the former Inca capital where temples, plazas, and architecture reflect centuries of layered history. Board the scenic PeruRail train through dramatic highland landscapes to reach Lake Titicaca, the world’s highest navigable lake. Arrive in Lima, Peru’s vibrant capital and gateway to the Andes. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by your local tour manager and transferred to your hotel in one of Lima’s welcoming districts known for their charm, walkability, and access to coastal views and local culture. Settle in and relax after your international flight, or take a leisurely walk to get your first taste of the city’s energy and beauty.
Today, enjoy a guided tour of Lima’s historical and cultural highlights. Explore the UNESCO-listed historic center, home to the stately Plaza Mayor, Government Palace, and the San Francisco Monastery with its catacombs. Visit the renowned Larco Museum and its extensive collection of pre-Columbian artifacts.
