Experience a unique murder mystery theatrical event inside Greystone Mansion, the stunning architectural masterpiece nestled in the heart of Beverly Hills where the real life “Greystone Murders” took place in 1929. Built by famed oil tycoon Edward Doheny for his son in 1928 at a cost of over $4 million, this 55-room, 46,000-square-foot estate is the largest home in Beverly Hills and is often considered one of the grandest mansions on the West Coast, second only to Hearst Castle. While this mysterious and haunted historic treasure is normally closed to the public, today you’re invited inside this magnificent manor to get a glimpse of its gilded age grandeur. Take your seat inside the mansion’s elegant living room and experience a suspenseful whodunit as the Beverly Hills’ award-winning professional theatre company, Theatre 40, presents An Inspector Calls. It’s April, 1912 at the Yorkshire home of the prosperous Birling family. A young woman has met her untimely demise, and an inspector calls to interrogate the family in connection with the death. The girl was a stranger to the Birlings…or was she? As the Inspector’s investigation unfolds, we discover that each family member has secrets linking them to the tragedy. These startling revelations not only shatter the very foundations of their lives but challenge us all to examine our consciences. Surprisingly relevant to our time, with unexpected twists that make this classic thriller one not to be missed! While we are unable to explore other rooms of the unfurnished mansion during our visit, we will have time at leisure to explore the exterior of this fortress-like, Tudor-style mansion with meticulously landscaped English gardens. Prior to our arrival at Greystone Mansion, enjoy time at leisure for an early lunch on your own at The Original Farmers Market or The Grove L.A., offering a variety of eateries and an open-air environment pulsing with energy. This tour involves moderate walking and several staircases within the garden to reach the mansion.
To ensure a healthy and enjoyable travel experience for our guests, this tour will operate with additional health & wellness measures in place.
