Depart the United States on an overnight transpacific flight crossing the International Date Line. You arrive in Japan the following day ready to begin the journey.

Day 2 – Arrive Tokyo (Sunday, April 4)

Touch down in Tokyo and take a little time to reset. Step outside for a first walk around your neighborhood and notice how quickly small shrines, quiet side streets, and convenience stores full of unfamiliar snacks start to feel approachable. At dinner you get an early taste of seasonal dishes and a straightforward primer on dining customs that will make menus and mealtimes easier over the next few days. (Dinner)

Day 3 – Discover Dynamic Tokyo (Monday, April 5)

Today's exploration introduces you to the remarkable contrasts that define modern Japan. Drive past the Imperial Palace Plaza, home to the Emperor's residence, before experiencing the sights, sounds, and flavors of the famous Tsukiji Outer Market. Visit the peaceful Meiji Shrine, nestled within a tranquil forest in the heart of the city, then experience the excitement of Shibuya Crossing, the world's busiest pedestrian intersection. Stop for a photo with Tokyo's beloved Hachiko statue before enjoying dinner at a local restaurant. Throughout the city, cherry blossoms often frame shrines, parks, and gardens, adding an unforgettable touch to Tokyo's vibrant urban landscape. (Breakfast, Dinner)

Day 4 – Historic Tokyo & Asakusa (Tuesday, April 6)

Travel like a local using Tokyo's outstanding public transportation system as you journey to the historic Asakusa district. Visit Senso-ji Temple, Tokyo's oldest Buddhist temple, before strolling Nakamise Street, a lively shopping avenue lined with traditional merchants, local crafts, and authentic Japanese treats. Day 5 – Mount Fuji & Hakone (Wednesday, April 7)

Leave Tokyo behind as you journey into Japan's breathtaking countryside toward its most iconic natural landmark. Ascend to the Fifth Station of Mount Fuji (weather permitting), where spectacular panoramic views await before continuing into beautiful Hakone National Park. Cruise across scenic Lake Ashi before boarding the Hakone Ropeway for unforgettable views of volcanic landscapes and Mount Fuji. This evening, settle into your hotel overlooking the beautiful Mount Fuji region and enjoy a traditional Japanese dinner.

Travel Tip: Your primary suitcase will be transferred directly from Tokyo to your hotel in Kyoto. Simply pack a small overnight bag with everything you'll need for your evening in the Mount Fuji region, and your luggage will be waiting for you upon arrival in Kyoto. (Breakfast, Dinner)

Day 6 – Hakone & The Shinkansen Experience (Thursday, April 8)

Begin your day at the renowned Hakone Open-Air Museum, where impressive sculptures are displayed against the backdrop of beautiful mountain scenery. Later, experience one of Japan's greatest engineering achievements as you board the legendary Shinkansen Bullet Train. Traveling at remarkable speeds while providing an incredibly smooth ride, the Shinkansen has become an international symbol of Japanese innovation, precision, and efficiency. Day 7 – Timeless Kyoto (Friday, April 9)

Today is devoted to exploring one of Japan's most treasured cities. Enjoy a free afternoon to discover Kyoto at your own pace. Browse traditional artisan shops, sample regional cuisine, visit additional temples and gardens, or simply enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of one of Japan's most beautiful cities. Many of Kyoto's most famous cherry blossom viewing locations are found throughout this area, where delicate pink blossoms create unforgettable scenes among temples, rivers, and historic streets. Day 9 – Ancient Nara & Vibrant Osaka (Sunday, April 11)

Depart Kyoto and travel to Nara, Japan's first permanent capital and home to some of the country's most significant cultural treasures. Visit Todaiji Temple, home to one of the world's largest bronze Buddha statues, before strolling through peaceful Nara Park, where hundreds of friendly deer roam freely beneath towering trees and among ancient temples. Day 10 – Osaka's History & Culinary Traditions (Monday, April 12)

Enjoy free time to explore lively Kuromon Market, affectionately known as "Osaka's Kitchen," where countless local specialties showcase the flavors of Japanese cuisine. Day 11 – Farewell to Japan (Tuesday, April 13)

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your journey home, bringing with you unforgettable memories of Japan's remarkable culture, warm hospitality, breathtaking scenery, and beautiful spring landscapes. (Breakfast)
