Majestic and sublime, the Canadian Rockies is a region of scenic wonders. Towering mountain peaks, tranquil lakes, cascading waterfalls, spectacular scenic routes...and to top it off, this comprehensive itinerary includes the Calgary Stampede –“The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth!”
Our journey begins with optional transfers from home or our departure points this morning to LAX for a flight to Calgary, Alberta. Those guests not taking advantage of the optional group airfare, should arrive at the Calgary International Airport no later than 2:30 p.m. if they want to be included on the complimentary transfer from the airport to the hotel. “Our neighbor to the north” welcomes you this afternoon with their great hospitality and beautiful sights. Upon our arrival, a deluxe motorcoach will be waiting to transport us to our deluxe hotel in downtown Calgary for a two-night stay.
Following an included breakfast at the hotel, we’ll join a local guide for a driving tour of Calgary. Nestled in the rolling foothills of the Canadian Rockies, this former fur trading post burst onto the world scene with the 1988 Winter Olympics and is now a bustling metropolis. This afternoon we’ll arrive at the Calgary Stampede, known as “The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth.” As you step through the gates of Stampede Park, you are entering a whole world of wonder, fun, and “Wild West” excitement. Enjoy ample time to explore the authentic Indian Village and stroll the streets of a recreated frontier town. Visit a dazzling array of international exhibits, competitions and livestock shows. We have reserved grandstand seats for the afternoon Stampede Rodeo featuring saddle bronc, bull riding, and barrel racing and more in the world’s most competitive tournament-style rodeo. We return this evening with reserved seating for the thrilling chuckwagon races followed by the Evening Show

This afternoon we’ll cross back into Alberta and arrive at Lake Louise – set in the midst of Banff National Park. Known as the “Diamond in the Wilderness,” here the majestic mountains soaring skyward are reflected in the vibrant blue of the glacier-fed, Lake Louise. We’ll enjoy an overnight stay at the elegant Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, one of the world’s most-often photographed hotels and one of Canada’s most renowned resorts.
