Our memorable afternoon of lunch and film begins at 22nd St. Landing Seafood Grill & Bar, an award-winning waterfront restaurant in San Pedro that offers spectacular views of the Cabrillo Marina. Our included, three-course lunch features a house salad, choice of entrée (salmon, chicken parmesan or pasta primavera) and dessert. Following lunch, we’ll continue to the Old Town Music Hall – an authentic 1920s music house that is a living tribute to classic Hollywood cinema and music. This historic theatre is known for its beautifully restored interior, featuring ornate chandeliers, velvet curtains and a grand staircase. During this private event, we’ll sit back and enjoy a live organ concert featuring the mighty Wurlitzer pipe organ followed by the classic Hollywood film, Singin’ in the Rain. This beloved 1952 film musical that stars Gene Kelly, Donald O’Connor and Debbie Reynolds was made specifically for the big screen and is considered by many to be the greatest movie musical ever made. This charming, joyous and up-beat film that is full of colorful costumes, great songs and wonderful dances, is set in 1927 and humorously satirizes and parodies the early days of movies, with nuggets of Hollywood lore finding their way into the story. |
