| After 35 years as Pageant of Our Lord, this unique, Pageant of the Masters-inspired, Easter-time presentation of the life of Christ has a new name and a new location at the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center. Living Art Experience is a live theatrical event featuring breathtaking re-creations of classical paintings and sculptures depicting the life, ministry, death, and resurrection of Christ. Combining the power of art, music and religion, this theatrical masterpiece features live models – both adults and children – coated in layers of body paint climbing into life-sized paintings and sculptures on the stage. The “living” artwork is accompanied by a live orchestra and original narration to tie the scenes together. This very popular event is an annual tradition for some to experience its inspiring message, beautiful music and breathtaking stage wizardry. Prior to the matinee show, we’ll enjoy time at leisure for an early lunch on your own at The Point – the newest and hippest destination in the South Bay that features a welcoming outdoor space filled with seating areas, diverse shops and a variety of eateries. |
