You’re cordially invited to the state-of-the-art Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum in Yorba Linda. The museum was recently completely reimagined and renovated, unveiling new exhibits and a new $500,000 wing of the museum dedicated solely to the Watergate scandal. Enjoy a docent-guided tour followed by time at leisure at this museum that features over 70 new highly visual exhibits that immerse you in the life and career of America’s 37th President. More than 300 original artifacts are on display including extraordinary gifts to the Nixons, as well as an array of gowns and other clothing worn by Julie, Tricia and Pat Nixon. Step into a full-sized recreation of President Nixon’s Oval Office and a re-creation of his study at his home in San Clemente. The gardens include the First Lady’s Rose Garden and the final resting place of President Richard Nixon and First Lady Pat Nixon. The iconic 1912 farmhouse where President Nixon was born features artifacts that belonged to the Nixon family (The Birthplace may be closed due to inclement weather including wind and excessive heat). See Army One, the helicopter used by Presidents Kennedy, Johnson, Ford and Nixon (including on August 9, 1974 – the day Nixon resigned). On display for a limited time is the special exhibition, The Presidents Club – From Adams & Jefferson to Nixon & Trump. Curated exclusively for the Nixon Library, this exhibit chronicles the fragile friendships among our Presidents – some pals, some partners, some prickly personalities – and how the private personal affections and intense rivalries of these most public of men, shaped our great nation. The exhibit features a dozen never-before-seen personal letters exchanged between former President Richard Nixon and future President Donald Trump. In addition, the exhibit explores the relationships between John Adams and Thomas Jefferson, Franklin D. Roosevelt and Lyndon B. Johnson, Dwight D. Eisenhower and Richard Nixon, John F. Kennedy and Richard Nixon, and more. This afternoon we’ll visit the Anaheim Packing District with time at leisure for lunch on your own. Orange County’s original food hall, here you’ll find a walkable diverse culinary collection featuring more than 50 food vendors amongst three historic buildings: a former Sunkist orange processing plant, a marmalade factory and a former Packard dealership.
To ensure a healthy and enjoyable travel experience for our guests, this tour will have a number of additional health and safety measures in place and require each guest complete a Wellness Pledge/Release of Liability Agreement.
