Claremont’s annual Village Venture arts & crafts faire – now in its 41st year – is a popular one-day event that celebrates autumn in a special way. Get a head start on your holiday shopping as you stroll along Claremont’s tree-lined streets and explore over 450 booths of unique art, original crafts, and apparel created by artisans and craftspeople from near and far. Claremont’s quaint “New England-style” heritage was established by the town’s founders and is reflected in the unique shops and restaurants that are in its charming downtown area – the setting for this wonderful event. Enjoy approximately three hours at leisure to enjoy the free entertainment, browse the booths and downtown shops and enjoy lunch on your own at one of the downtown cafés or the faire’s international food court. This afternoon, we’ll stroll through the California Botanic Garden, the largest botanic garden dedicated to California native plants – this living museum with curated collections of more than 22,000 California native plants, some of which are rare or endangered. And to top off the day, we’ll send you home with a single-sized, sweet pie from Claremont local’s favorite pie shop! This tour involves moderate walking. |
