This animal adventure begins at “America’s First and Only Camel Dairy,” near Ramona for a unique opportunity to meet, pet and learn about these exotic creatures. Learn about camels’ unique adaptations and behaviors, as well as the history of this dairy and their techniques borrowed from the nomads. There will be time to purchase camel milk skincare, camel hair products, camel milk chocolate and other unique items. Following an included boxed lunch picnic, we’ll continue to an alpaca ranch that is a truly magical place tucked into central Temecula. You’ll have an opportunity to meet alpacas and a llama, inquisitive and friendly creatures that have luxurious fleece, captivating faces and a gentle nature – you will fall in love! We'll learn lots of interesting facts and some of the quirky things about these unique animals. Your visit includes a bag of alpaca treats to feed them – and since alpacas don't have top front teeth, they don't bite and are eager to eat from your hand. Enjoy time to browse The Alpaca Shoppe, where you'll find many items made from alpaca fleece such as hats, scarves and gloves, as well as other alpaca-themed items. We top off a fun and memorable day with an included ice cream treat from a locals’ favorite ice cream shop. This tour involves moderate walking over uneven terrain. |
