Celebrate the holiday season at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum at the most special time of the year. This holiday season the museum showcases a brand-new, never-before-seen, 5,000 square foot exhibit called An American Christmas Story. The highlight of the exhibit will be a festive "forest" of more than 60 exquisitely decorated Christmas trees with themes and unique expressions of the holidays derived from each U.S. state and territory highlighting our nation’s diversity, fascinating holiday traditions and different ways Americans enjoy the holiday season. In addition, the exhibit’s whimsical holiday setting will feature fanciful exhibits showcasing rarely seen items from the Reagan family’s very own Christmas trees and gifts given to the Reagans at the White House during the 1980s including Christmas ornaments, Hanukkah Menorahs and other artifacts from around the world. Enjoy approximately 5 hours at leisure to explore this state-of-the-art, 125,000-square-foot museum featuring 18 galleries that pay tribute to America’s 40th president. Visit a full-scale replica of Reagan’s Oval Office, see a piece of the Berlin Wall, explore interactive exhibits, read letters written by President Reagan to Nancy and pay your respects at their final resting place with spectacular views of the Conejo Valley. The Air Force One Pavilion features a presidential limousine, a secret service vehicle, a Marine One helicopter and a walk-through of the Air Force One airplane that served seven U.S. Presidents. Enjoy lunch on your own at the museum café. This tour involves moderate walking. |
