Walk on the Wild Side Day Tour Calendar
Forever Wild Animal Sanctuary,
Gibbon Conservation Center & Charlie Brown Farms

Departing: Wednesday, April 21, 2021

1 Day Package
New Itinerary

Price: $89 Per Person

We begin our walk on the wild side at the Gibbon Conservation Center, the only organization in the world devoted to the conservation, study and care of gibbons – a small endangered ape. These animals are native to the rainforests of Southeast Asia and are considered to be among the world’s greatest acrobats – leaping distances of 50 feet and traveling up to 35 miles per hour 200 feet above the ground. On this guided, educational tour we’ll learn about the preservation efforts here and meet several species of gibbons who are ready to entertain you with their crazy antics! We continue to Charlie Brown Farms, a unique, roadside destination known as “Antelope Valley’s Largest Gift Shop!” What started out as a fruit stand in 1929 has grown to six acres and features everything from fruits and vegetables, jams and jellies, butters and honey, dried fruits and nuts, exotic and smoked meats, date shakes and malts, original Pennsylvania Dutch funnel cakes, mini donuts and much more! Enjoy time at leisure to browse the House of Dolls, Land of Dinosaurs, Village of Gnomes, World of Betty Boop, movie memorabilia, the Soda Pop Shop and the thousands of nostalgic candy and toys including a huge selection of sugar-free candies, brittles and fudge that is made fresh on site daily. Enjoy lunch on your own here (with outdoor dining) where they serve real Texas-style barbecue including ribs, chicken, tri-tip and more along with all the sides. We continue along Pearblossom Highway to the inspiring and engaging Forever Wild Exotic Animal Sanctuary. After co-founders Joel and Chemaine realized that thousands of exotic animals were being put to sleep after being abandoned, abused or illegally obtained, they wanted to make a difference and provide them a home and a chance to live a healthy life. Forever Wild was born out of the hope to provide the animals with resources to rehabilitate, while also providing education on what we can do to protect these animals’ lands and lives from becoming extinct. During this educational experience, we’ll not only get up-close to a variety of wildlife including reptiles, birds, monkeys, alligator, bear, lion, tiger and black panther, but you’ll experience a feeding demonstration. This tour involves minimal walking over uneven terrain.
To ensure a healthy and enjoyable travel experience for our guests, this tour will have a number of additional health and safety measures in place and require each guest complete a Wellness Pledge/Release of Liability Agreement.
