Enjoy time at leisure for browsing and lunch on your own in Fairbanks’ downtown area. This afternoon you’ll travel back to the time when traditional riverboats plied the waterways of Alaska’s interior during the late 1800’s. Following an included breakfast, travel south into Denali National Park. Denali National Park & Preserve features North America’s highest mountain – 20,320-foot tall Mt. Denali (formerly Mt. McKinley). The Park features a myriad of other spectacular mountains and many large glaciers. Enjoy the afternoon exploring this pristine area by participating in a complimentary park service activity or an optional tour. Activities include mild or wild river-rafting, flight-seeing Mt. Denali, a jet boat safari on the Nenana River or a visit to the award-winning dog kennel of Iditarod champion, Jeff King. Arrive at your Denali accommodations in the Denali area later in the day.
