Day By Day Itinerary:
Day 1
Sunday, 4/22/2018 - Arrive in Yosemite
From our departure points this morning we’ll travel by deluxe motorcoach into California’s fertile Central Valley. Following a morning rest stop and a stop for lunch on your own, we’ll begin our journey from the Central Valley into the foothills of the Sierra Nevada. Here, just outside the south entrance of Yosemite National Park, we’ll arrive at the Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite. This elegant, AAA four-diamond mountain retreat offers an experience that is classic, yet perfectly modern. It is situated on 35 secluded acres amongst a noble evergreen forest. Enjoy the balance of the evening at leisure with dinner on own at one of the lodge’s two restaurants.
Day 2
Monday, 4/23/2018 - Yosemite National Park
Following an included breakfast at the lodge, a local guide will join us onboard as we enter Yosemite National Park, a majestic land embracing a spectacular tract of mountain-and-valley scenery in the Sierra Nevada. Preserved as a National Park in 1890, Yosemite harbors a grand collection of waterfalls, meadows and forests along with some of the most majestic sights in the world due in part to its unique, glacier-shaped cliffs and rock faces. Our day of sightseeing in the Yosemite Valley will be highlighted by such miraculously beautiful sights as Bridalveil Fall, El Capitan, Half Dome and the historic buildings including a visit inside the Majestic Yosemite Hotel (formerly the Ahwahnee). Enjoy time at leisure for browsing and lunch on your own in Yosemite Village. Here you’ll find the National Park Visitor Center, Yosemite Museum and the Ansel Adams Gallery. This afternoon, join your local guide on a leisurely walk to the base of thunderous Yosemite Falls. The highest waterfall in Yosemite National Park, the upper and lower fall combine to drop water a total of 2,425 feet. We return to the Tenaya Lodge in the late afternoon with the balance of the evening at your leisure to take advantage of the indoor heated pool and spa and the restaurants that offer a wide range of cuisine.

Day 3
Tuesday, 4/24/2018 - Sugar Pine Railroad
After an included breakfast at the lodge, we’ll travel the short distance to the Yosemite Mountain Sugar Pine Railroad for a ride through the Sierra Nevada Forest’s majestic tall trees. This historic 3-foot narrow gauge steam train with open cars allows for stunning views and a trip back in time as you are transported on the same route that logging trains used to travel through the Sierra Nevada. We continue by motorcoach to Fresno for an included Basque lunch. This traditional, multi-course, family-style Basque meal that includes lamb, chicken a variety of side dishes and wine is a memorable finale to our spectacular journey. We continue south towards Southern California making a rest stop later this afternoon. We return to our drop-off points this evening with images of giant granite cliffs, majestic waterfalls and the peaceful meadows of Yosemite National Park forever ingrained in our minds.
