Day By Day Itinerary:
Day 1
Saturday, 1/19/2019 - Arrive Salt Lake City
Your winter adventure gets under way as you make your way to Salt Lake City today.  Optional transfers from home or our departure points this morning will have you at the Los Angeles or Long Beach Airport for a short non-stop flight arriving in Salt Lake City this afternoon Those passengers not taking advantage of the optional group air, should arrive in Salt Lake City by 1:00 p.m. Salt Lake City, Utah’s political and cultural center is silhouetted by the lovely Wasatch Mountains. In 1847 Brigham Young chose Salt Lake Valley as the area to become the major settlement of the Mormon Pioneers. Laid out more than 150 years ago, the “City of the Saints” still manages to keep its rustic charm. Today, you’ll see where ceremonies and events for the 2002 Winter Olympics were held. After checking into your hotel with time to freshen up, get acquainted with your fellow passengers at an included welcome dinner.

Day 2
Sunday, 1/20/2019 - Salt Lake to Yellowstone
Following an included breakfast, a once in a lifetime opportunity awaits you! Special seating has been arranged for our group at the Mormon Tabernacle in Temple Square, where you will have a chance to hear the world-famous Mormon Tabernacle Choir’s weekly broadcast performance (choir schedule permitting). Following the perfor- mance, leave the Wasatch Mountains behind and drive north past the Great Salt Lake, Hill Air Force Base, and Utah’s first settlement, Ogden. This afternoon, you’ll enter Idaho and travel through the potato-producing fields of the Gem State. Continuing north, you’ll pass the town of Rexburg. In 1976, the Teton Dam burst, sending a wall of water through the main street, destroying the town. Continue on to the Island Park Region along the Madison and Henry Rivers, an area that is famous throughout the world for its outstanding trout fishing. After going over Targhee Pass you’ll enter Montana and the town of West Yellowstone, at the western gate of Yellowstone National Park. Enjoy the next two nights in West Yellowstone.
Day 3
Monday, 1/21/2019 - Yellowstone National Park
After an included breakfast this morning, spend the entire day exploring our nation’s oldest and most spectacular National Park via private chartered snow coaches! Yellowstone National Park is a mysterious land of steaming geysers and bubbling mudpots – a land so amazing that the first explorers to bring back tales of Yellowstone were called liars. Visit some of Yellowstone’s most famous highlights, including Firehole Falls and the geyser known world-wide as Old Faithful – a fountain of steam that faithfully rises more than 60 feet in the air. Return to West Yellowstone this afternoon with the evening at leisure.
Day 4
Tuesday, 1/22/2019 - Jackson, Elk Refuge
After our included breakfast, you’ll head south to Grand Teton National Park, where you’ll see America’s youngest and most rugged mountains, the Teton Range. After some time at leisure for lunch on own in the old west town of Jackson, you’ll head just a couple miles north to the National Elk Refuge – winter home for thousands of majestic elk. Get a close-up view of these beautiful creatures on a sleigh ride through the refuge. You’ll then visit the National Museum of Wildlife Art featuring some of the world’s most beautiful wildlife paintings, sculptures and photographs. Late this afternoon, enjoy time at leisure in Jackson to stroll along the boardwalk and explore the many shops and restaurants of this fascinating Wild West town. Jackson offers western charm at its finest. Enjoy an included dinner at a locals’ favorite.
Day 5
Wednesday, 1/23/2019 - Park City & Salt Lake City
Following an included breakfast, you’ll depart Jackson and travel through scenic western Wyoming into Idaho, all the while surrounded by silver streams, soaring peaks, and lush meadows. Drive through the rugged Snake River Canyon, stopping in the pastoral Starr Valley. This afternoon near Park City you’ll visit Utah Olympic Park with time at leisure to browse the Utah Ski & Olympic Museum. Then, enjoy a docent-guided tour of this facility that hosted events during the 2002 Winter Olympic Games and continues to host World Cup events. See the ski jumps and the bobsled and luge track – the fastest on Earth! Return to Salt Lake City in the late afternoon and join the group for a Farewell Dinner at a locals’ favorite.
